Fishing trip
Brian in his life jacket- the only baby one at the cabin had a broken zipper, so I stuck him in it feet first and called it good. :o)
Brian's first time kayaking with Grandma
Brian relaxing in the sun on the boat. The zipper ended up breaking on the life jacket, so we safety pinned the top of it. Good thing he didn't actually need it in the water. :o)
Dad and one of his rock fish
Ben caught two fish at the same time! It was crazy
One of Ben's "huge" fish he caught :o)
Dad and his ling cod
Ben and one of the rock fish he caught
Reeling in the cabazon
The fish was huge and ugly!
Mom and her "whale"
Mom and Dad's fish (ling cod on the left, cabazon on the right)
We had a great time this past weekend up at Lopez Island for the annual fishing trip with my parents and some family friends. There were two boats up there so we all got a turn going out and attempting to catch some fish. This was the first year Ben and I had gone up for the trip. In past years a lot more fish was caught, but this year the rules for what you could keep were stricter and the current was really strong. Ben was able to catch over 10 fish, but none were keepers. My mom and dad both caught fish large enough to keep, and a few other people in the group. Brian enjoyed his nap on the boat and loved looking at the water. It was great weather and a lot of fun!
